"Question and Answer Time"

"Sir," says a certain man, "I do not agree with this doctrine of God's election."

"Are you a Christian?"
"Yes."
"How did you become a Christian?"
"I repented of sin and recieved Christ as Savior."
"Why did you repent one moment and not the day before or the week or year before?"
"God convicted me of sin."
"So, then, God acted upon you first, and then you responded to His work?"
"Yes, definitely."
"Why did God do this for you? Did you deserve it?"
"No, not at all; it was and is God's grace alone which was shown to me."
"Should God then wait for one to choose, or should He act on them the way He did on you?"
"If God did not act first, then all would be lost."
"Who decided that God should act on anyone?"
"God decided; it was His action."
"You, sir, DO agree with God's election; You DO agree that God chooses to act as He wills."
